The Hungarian company VEMU has been founded in 1957 by Árpád Végh, certified technician, specialized as machine-tool operator and locksmith.
Further to its high quality performance, VEMU has rapidly become one of the best name among the small- and middle-size engineering workshops as well as in the engine overhauling industry in Hungary.
VEMU's outstanding reputation in the precision work resulted in having been choosen already in 1959 by the Swedish company SKF to become its local manufacturer.
During more than three decades, VEMU produced bearings and ball joints for SKF. Even today, VEMU ensures the after-sale service and the technical modifications of the elements for the SKF representation in Hungary. The necessary equipment for the bearing and the ball joint production, such as machines, tooling and measuring instruments, made possible the development of other activities at VEMU: the engine overhauling and the engine parts manufacturing. Today, VEMU owns one of the most modern workshops in Hungary.
VEMU is in everyday business contact with more than 100 local engine repair shops as well as many of similar shops in Austria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Latvia, Russia, Switzerland and Ukraine.
VEMU is a family entreprise: Managing director is Árpád Végh, founder. Engineering director is his son, László Végh, mecanical engineer. Commercial director is his daughter, Suzanne Végh, also engineer.
